Word was received of the death of Jill Abegglen Bowlin of Green Forrest, Ark.

After a long illness, Jill died Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was born Oct. 7, 1942, in St. Anthony. She was the daughter of Glen and Anita Abegglen of St. Anthony. She graduated from South Fremont High School.

Jill married Dale D. Bowlin on Sept. 7, 1962, in St. Anthony. She and Dale lived in Idaho Falls where Dale worked for Union Pacific Railroad. While she was in Idaho Falls, she attended Idaho State Extension School where she graduated as an LPN. She worked in this field for years in Idaho Falls; Omaha, Neb.; Carrol County Health Care Center in Arkansas; and Louisiana Health Care. Because of ill health, she retired after years of service in health care.

Jill and Dale made many friends while traveling when Dale served as president of the Union Pacific Railroad Retired Employee Association, known as the old timers.

When Dale retired from the railroad, they moved to Green Forrest and warmer weather.

Jill is survived by her husband, Dale, and two sons, Tracy Bowlin of Denver and Bruce Bowlin of Green Forrest. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Tom Webster, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held in Green Forrest at a later date.
