RURAL RETREAT, Va. — Carrie Carol Walls Adkins, 86, passed away at her home in Rural Retreat, VA, on Friday, June 26, 2015. She was born July 10, 1928, in Whitetop, VA, the daughter of the late Marion Grant Walls and Mary Jane Blevins Walls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adkins, and a grandson, Mitchell Charles Price.

She is survived by her children, Dee Dee Price of Whitetop, VA, Gary Adkins and wife Betty of Crab Orchard, WV, Marlena Phillips and husband Michael of Whitetop, VA, Debbie Coe and husband Gene of Whitetop, VA, Michael Adkins and wife Pam of Rural Retreat, VA, adopted daughter Kayla Bell and husband David of Marion, VA, a brother, Glen Walls of Marion, VA, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Rev. Madge Barnett officiating with a committal service to be held 3 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until service time.
