Funeral services for Mr. Brownie Adams, 65, of Smithville were held Sunday, June 25, 2000 at 2 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville. Bro. David England and Bro. Earl Williams officiated and burial followed in Dekalb Memorial Gardens.

Masonic services were held, Saturday, June 24, 2000 at 7 p.m.

Mr. Adams died Thursday, June 22, 2000 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. He was self-employed in the drywall business, a member of the Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church, and a member of the Short Mountain Lodge #373.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father, T.B. Adams.

Survivors of Mr. Adams include: his wife, Willie Brown Adams of Smithville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Karen Adams of Smithville and Mike and Debbie Adams of Cookeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Randall Duke and Veronica and John Pack, all of Smithville; this mother, Dorothy Adams of McMinnville; sisters, Mary Adams of McMinnville, Phyllis Hendrix of Hendersonville, and Brenda Wiser of Murfreesboro; mother-in-law, Evelyn Crips of Smithville; and grandchildren, Amanda Adams, Jennifer Adams, Marla Adams, Justin Duke, Brooke Pack, Megan Pack, Jared Adams, and Mykaela Duke.

Pallbearers for Mr. Adams were Doug Neal, James Pirtle, Eric Loveland, Beecher Hendrix, Craig Hendrix, Carl Wiser, Danny Catignani, and Kevin Duval.

Honorary pallbearers for Mr. Adams were Jared Adams, Justin Duke, Danny Pirtle, Anthony Young, and Danny Pirtle, Jr.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
