The following was provided by Fran (Switzer) Bade a relative of Bogard. Bogard's mother died shortly after he was born and he was raised by his Aunt Margaret (Bogard) Warner and Elisha P. Warner early settlers of the area. Warner School close to Pleasant Grove was apparently named for that family. Elisha P. and Margaret and family including daughter Lydia who married Edward Fitzgerald are buried at Pleasant Grove. Bogard G. was married at the time of his death, but his wife and children moved west.
