RAY G. FLETCHER DIES IN CHICAGO Former M.W.A

Official Here and Prominent Church Worker, Ray G. Fletcher, 46, former correspondence secretary of the Lincoln district of the M. W. A. and religious education director of the Presbyterian church, died in Chicago at noon Monday, after a week’s illness. Death was due to an heart attack. He was born in Lincoln and received his early education here. He attended the University of Nebraska for a number of years, receiving his degree from the University of Minnesota. He was correspondence secretary for the Modern Woodmen of America for eight years leaving in 1916 to accept the position of director of religious education in the House of Hope Presbyterian church at St. Paul. Minn. He served as director in the church for thirteen years. A month ago he accepted a call to the Presbyterian seminary in Chicago as assistant dean. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. E. S. Fletcher of Lincoln; three sisters. Mrs. E. W. Hedges of Ontario. Cal., Mrs. W. E. Mossholder of Lincoln and Mrs. E. Acker of Redington and a brother. Ryland, living in California. The body will arrive in Lincoln early Wednesday afternoon for funeral services and interment.
