Christina Kogele was born in Gackle ND, October 13, 1895, a daughter of Ludwig and Christina Gieger Mueller. She was self educated and was always curious as why things worked the way they did.
On November 23, 1913, she and Jakob Kogele were married at Streeter ND. The homesteaded in the Watkins country north of Terry in 1913. They retired and moved to Terry in 1948.
Mrs Kogele was called the flower lady as everything grew for her. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery work and was a member of the Terry Community Presbyterian Church. She was a freind to everyone and will be missed by all of the.
Mrs Kogele , 97, died November 10, 1992 in Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. Preceding her in death were her husband, Jakob in July of 1968; a son and daughter.
Survivors include five sons, Sam (Hertha) Kogele and Richard (Evelyn) Kogele of Miles City, Wilber (Irene) Kogele of Broadus, Otto (Kay) Kogele of Payson AZ, Melvin (Pat) Koegle of Omaha ND; four daughters, Ida (Emil) Stadler of Palmer AK, Hodelia (John) Lamers of Monmouth OR, Martha (Jack) Bradley and Anna (Bud) Misfeldt of Billings; a sister, Elsie Schlenker of Gackle ND; three brothers, Gust, Herbert and Gottlieb Mueller, all of Gackle ND; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
