OBITUARY JOHN F. BEYNON, 52, a resident of East Ely, Nevada for 27 years, died Sunday, Nov. 8 in 1 a Reno hospital, following a long illness.
John Beynon was born in Durango, Colorado, a son of Charles and Hannah Fizelle Beynon Nov. 13, 1902.
He spent his childhood at Hill Top. He attended Colorado schools and was a railroad machinist, having learned his trade at Salida, Colorado.
He first worked at Salida for the Denver and Rio Grande Railway and came to East Ely in May, 1927. He worked at his trade for the Nevada Northern Railway until 1946 when he was retired because of illness.
He married Miss Doretta Ream in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 25, 1931.
The couple came to East Ely immediately and had lived there since.
Mr. Beynon was a member of the Ely Methodist Church, the Machinists Local No. 279 and the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1068 of Ely.
Burial was held in the Ely cemetery.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Beynon are a daughter Mrs. John Stava, of Los Angeles; one son, John H. Beynon, a student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts. his mother, Mrs. Hannah Lundin, Gillette, Wyoming; three sisters, Mrs. George Oedekoven, Gillette, Wyoming; Mrs. George Bauman, Filer, Idaho; and Mrs. James Abbett Castle Rock, Colorado. There is also one granddaughter.
Relatives coming for the services included Mr. and Mrs. Stava and baby daughter, John XL Beynon, Mrs. Lundin, Mr. and Mrs. Oedekoven, Mr. and Mrs. Bauman, Mrs. Abbett and Mr. Norman Ream.
The family requested those who desire to contribute to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
