John Parker Adams, farmer and lumberman of the Higdonville community (Route 5), died Monday, December 17, at 3 p.m. at his home. Eighty-two, he had been ill for three years.
Funeral services for the Macon County native were conducted on the 19th at 2:30 p.m. at the Ellijay Baptist Church, of which he was a member, by the Rev. Lee Crawford, the Rev. Lawson Snyder, and the Rev. Oscar Nix. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Born, November 2, 1890, Mr. Adams was the son of the late Marion and Mrs. Sallie Moore Adams. He had been married twice, in 1907 to Miss Polly Price, who died in 1931, and then in 1940 to Miss Lelia Ammons, of this county who survives.
