RIPLEY - William Andrew Ables, 67, retired Air Force technical sergeant, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garner Funeral Home with burial in Dry Hill Cemetery near Ripley. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a past patron of Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Curve Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Ables, the husband of Carrie Riggs Ables, also leaves two daughters, Ann Williams and Candy Alexander, both of Ripley; a stepdaughter, Katrina Rupert of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Elizabeth Clements of Halls; two brothers, George Ables and Ray Ables, both of Ripley, and six grandchildren.
