South Windsor, March 18.
Mrs. Lena M. Jones, wife of Nathaniel Jones of Station 39, died suddenly yesterday at her home. Mrs. Jones was born in East Hartford, March 7, 1858, a daughter of the late Henry and Flavilla Abbey. When a child she moved with her parents to Skowhegan, Me., where she lived until her marriage, when she came to South Windsor. She was a member of Hartford Chapter, O. E. S., State of Maine Club, and was president of the Wednesday Afternoon Club of South Windsor. She leaves, besides her husband, four sons, Albertus E. Jones, Frederick C. Jones of South Windsor, John H. Jones of Farmington, Me., and Carl N. Jones of Hartford; a daughter, Mrs. Lena L. Mills of South Windsor; several grandchildren and four brothers, C. J. Abbey, O. A. Abbey, both of Skowhegan, George W. Abbey and Frank H. Abbey, both of California. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at her home.
