Mr. Silvers died Friday in Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. A Dunkirk native, Mr. Silvers lived in the Brewington Woods section of Muncie most of his life. He was a foreman at Warner Gear and worked there 34 years before retiring in 1975. He had lived in Florida for the last six years.
He was a member of the Warner Gear Sympathy Club, Delaware Masonic Lodge 46, and Scottish Rite Valley, Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Christine; a son, Gerald W. Johnson, Muncie; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
