Martin was born January 19, 1954 in Manhattan, KS to Doris (Bragaw) and George W. Mills, Jr. He was a graduate of Manhattan High School in 1972 and earned an A.A. from Manhattan Vocational School. He was employed as an IT Support Specialist for Convergys Corp in Olathe. Martin was a carpenter who enjoyed working with wood. His favorite pastimes were camping with his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and always “adopted” their friends as his own. He was thrilled to complete a goal on his bucket list with a trip to Sturgis for the 75th anniversary this year.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rick. Martin is survived by his children, Robert Mills and Lisa, Amanda Jahns and Shawn, all of Gardner, and Whitney Johnson and Blake of Cottonwood Falls, KS; former spouse, Terry Mills; honorary son Jamey Kinyon and Cortney of Gardner; brothers, Bill Mills and Rae, Jim Mills and Linda, Tom Mills and Pat, Ron Mills and Paula and John Mills and Melissa; nine grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Keira, Clara, Andrew, Dylan, Nash, Harrison, and Maryn; aunts Belva Vaughn and Patty Mills; uncles Mike, Doug, and Don Mills; many nieces and nephews.
