Betty L. Aalseth, 74, of Vilonia, passed away on Dec. 10, 2015 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born Oct. 23, 1941 to Oliver and Margaret Blackman Aalseth of Milford, Iowa.

After receiving her degree in Zoology, she moved to Pasadena, Calif., working as an animal health technician at Cal Tech. After being diagnosed with MS, Betty moved to Arkansas, residing in Cabot, Pine Bluff and Vilonia where she enjoyed friends and family for many years, always looking for a game of cards.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Shelia Aalseth; grandchildren, Shanika, Deshawn, Tia, Mahogany, Erica and Marquis; sisters, Corene Beving, Ramona Grooms and Donna Coley; longtime best friend, Gayle Westrate; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Aalseth.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Destiny Worship Center in Pine Bluff on Saturday, December 19 at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Carolyn Ramsey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
