Marion M. Aaron was burned to death at his home in Lexington, GA at about midnight on September 9, 1954. The origin of the fire is undetermined.
Mr. Aaron lived alone and was 64 years of age. Funeral services were conducted from the Stevens Grove Baptist Church and burial followed in the church cemetery.
He is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Rachel Ford (Ned), Mrs. Floy Davis (Roy) both of Warner Robins, GA, Mrs. Mary Allen (Hulon) of Keesler Field, MS, Mrs. Frances Barkwell (David) of Macon, GA, and Mrs. Lorena Garner (John) of Murrayville, GA and two sons; Monroe Eugene Aaron of Chamblee, GA and George Elbert Aaron of Arnoldsville, GA.
Two brothers; William Aaron, Jacksonville, FL, and Joseph Aaron, Athens, GA; three sisters, Mrs. Althea Ayers, Atlanta, GA, Mrs. June Parham and Miss Georgia Aaron, both of Athens, GA; and 13 grandchildren.
Mr. Aaron was predeceased by an infant daughter, Eula Mae Aaron (1927-1928) and Marion (Buddy) Virgil Aaron (1932-1951)killed in action in Korea.
Mr. Aaron was a native of Oglethorpe county and was one of the well known and respected citizens. He lived here most of his life and leaves many friends who offer their condolences to his bereaved family.
