Ron was born in a ranch house south of Garrison, ND. The temperature was -51 and there was a snowstorm. His dad hitched a team to a sled to get the neighbor lady to help. Ron was the son of Cletus and Dorothy (Winn) Guenther. He grew up in North Dakota. He was one of six children.
Ron graduated from Coleharbor High School, Coleharbor, ND, in 1954. He then went into the Air Force for 4 years, and from there he went to the University of North Dakota for 4 years. After college, he went to Minnesota and worked for U.P.A. now known as Great River Energy. He retired from there in 1996. He was a computer operator. He lived at Elk River, Minnesota for many years. He had a great love of horses.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barb and Judy, and brother, Vern.
