Mrs. Meta Cirks, 92, died Saturday afternoon, May 21, at the home of her son, H.A. Hinrichs, in Pomeroy.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:o'clock in St. John's Lutheran church, Lizard township, with the Rev. W.C. Fritschel in charge.
Mrs. Cirks was born May 15, 1864, in Germany. After coming to the United States she married Eimo Hinrichs. They resided in Lizard township until his death in 1903. In 1923 she married Gottlieb Cirks, who died in 1933.
Mrs. Cirks had been a member of St. John's church for 70 years, and she and her first husband were the second couple to be married there.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Henry Hinrichs of Pomeroy, O.T. Hinrichs of Manson, Eimo Hinrichs of Clare, Mrs. Mike Abens of Gilmore City, and Mrs. Henry Schroeder of Palmer; 21 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter and two sons.
Parents: Rolf Gerdes Janssen & Alste Maria Mammen Janssen.
