Mildred Vernon Abbott, 84, formerly of Trion, Ga., died in a Chattanooga hospital on Thursday, July 17, 2008.
Mrs. Abbott was a member of McFall Baptist Church, Rome, Ga., and had been a nurse for over 50 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanie Lambert and Myra Bell, of Dunlap; sons, Dennis Bell, of Dunlap, and Tommy Bell, of Rome, Ga.; brother, Charles Vernon, of Leesburg, Fl.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. CDT Saturday in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Harmon officiating.
Burial will be in Condra Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Ewton Funeral Home
