He was born April 25, 1931 in Madison Township, Armstrong County to Edgar R. and Matilda May (Fish) Traister.
He was married on October 6, 1951 to Arlene Aaron who survives.
He was the owner of Traister Construction Company, Templeton RD#2 and was a member of Templeton Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, five sons; William L. and Larry R. both of Templeton RD#2, George R. of Templeton RD#1; Kenneth R. and Edgar J. at home; three daughters, Mrs. Bradley (Carolyn) Anthony and Mrs. Bryan (Kathy) Reedy of Templeton RD#2; and Connie at home; one brother, Rev. Mason Traister of New Bethlehem, one sister, Mrs. Rudolph (Helen) Dolmovich of Rimersburg, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 1980 at 2 p.m. atthe Church of God, Templeton with the Rev. C. Richard Main officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery. Arrangements by Hillis Funeral Home, Rimersburg.
