Carl E. Owens, 53, died at home, 190 Meadville Pike, at 6 am Sunday. He was born Feb. 19, 1891, in Parkersburg, WV, son of William and Ethel Lynch Owens.


He lived in Franklin since 1923, was a machinist, and last worked for Franklin plant of the C. P. T. Company. He was a member of the Franklin Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles.


He married Sylvia Dunlap, who survives, with three children, Mrs. Harry Kyle of Rocky Grove, Jack E. Owens and Willis L. Owens, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Budman Brazil of Franklin, and Mrs. James Starnes of Sapulpa, OK; a granddaughter; two half-brothers, Lyle and Willian Owens, and three half-sisters, Edwina and Virginia Owens and Mrs. George Klunknecht, all of Dover, OH.


Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev. B. E. Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
