Mrs. Hazel Adams Simmons, 85, passed away on February 21, 2016, at North Delta Hospice Palliative Services in Southaven. Mrs. Hazel was born September 27, 1930, in West Point the daughter of the late Clois Clifford and Mary Torrence Adams. She was a homemaker and Methodist. She married George William Simmons on August 8, 1948, in West Point and he passed away March 13, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Louise Maharrey and Brother Clois E. "Sonny" Adams.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend H.C. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Montpelier. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include Her Daughter, Linda S. Reid (Jerry) of Byhalia; Two Sons, George Barry Simmons (Anna) and Cliff "Buddy" Simmons both of Nesbit; Eight Grandchildren; and Eleven Great Grandchildren; and One Sister, Judy Bailey (Reverend H.C.) of Lake.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Reid, Tim Cleveland, Jessie Beake, Jacob Elliott, Rocky Fulgham, and Cody Maharrey.

Memorials may be made to Palestine United Methodist Church, C/O Mrs. Bonnie Thompson, 18850 Mac Pate Road, Cedar Bluff, MS 39741.

Visitation will be Thursday 11:00-1:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
