Mrs. Abanatha was a member of Bethel Christian Church, where she was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship.

Surviving are her husband, James B. Abanatha; two sons, John Abanatha of West Paducah and Jerry Abanatha of Kevil; one sister, Ilene Flowers of Jackson, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Her parents were John and Madie Flowers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Kevil. The Rev. Keith Tilford will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Christian Church Cemetery.
