Guy Gwinn Adams, a lifelong resident of Montezuma County, was born at Arriola on June 7, 1922 ,to Guy and Minnie Adams. He passed away on Sept. 22, 2012, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. at the age of 90.

Gwinn served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Colorado. Gwinn and Faye Moore were married March 22, 1955, in Bradford, Pa. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed.

Surviving Gwinn are his wife, Faye; children, Gwinna Schwartz and husband Lewis of Flora Vista, N.M., Sarah Zubia and husband Rudy of LaPorte, Texas, and Lois Adams of LaPorte; and his sister, Irma Ortbahn of Alpena, S.D. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gwinn was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters, and his daughter, Charleen.

His wish was to be cremated and no services held. Arrangements were handled by Alternative Choice in Farmington
