Sarah Gary Aaron "Sally" Age 77 of Foulk Manor North in Wilmington, DE died on Sunday, September 28, 2003, at the Wilmington Hospital.
Sally was born December 23, 1925 in Lakewood, OH and was the youngest child of Tom C. and Elizabeth Read Gary.
The family moved to Wilmington in 1934. Sally attended Ursuline Academy, Mrs. Tatnall's School, and graduated from Bradford Junior College in Haverhill, MA in 1945. Sally married Osborne Aaron of Wilmington at the First and Central Presbyterian Church in 1948.
They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 19, 2003. She was a longtime resident of Newark, DE before moving to Wilmington 4 years ago.
She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church. Sally was a homemaker and accomplished in needlepoint, sewing and knitting.
Foremost, Sally was an adored wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother.
"She was our very best friend and the light of our lives." She is survived by her husband, Osborne Aaron: and 3 daughters, Sally Berger and her husband, Andrew Berger, and their sons, Max and Harry; Betsy Hundert and her husband, Steve Hundert, and their sons, Sam and Jacob; and Emily Schuster and her husband, Mark Schuster, and their children, Kate, Alison and Gary.
Her brother, Tom Gary, Jr. of Wilmington also survives her.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Betty predeceased her.
There will be a funeral service on Friday, October 3rd, at 10 am at Concord Presbyterian Church, 1800 Fairfax Blvd., Wilmington, DE 19803.
Burial will be in the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery, 701 Delaware Ave., Wilmington.
