WILLIAM EMERSON

Well Known Retired Business Man of Lawrenceburg Died Yesterday

Mrs. M.E. Cogley is in receipt of a telegram announcing the death yesterday at Lawrenceburg of William Emerson, a well known retired business man of that place, whose wife, now dead, was a sister of Mrs. Cogley and Mrs. Harriette Grace, of this city. Mr. Emerson had been ill for sometime. The funeral and burial will take tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at Patriot and Mrs. Cogley and her nephews, Messrs. Bert and Clyde Grace, will leave on the mailboat tonight to attend. Mrs. Harriette Grace, who is in Cincinnati, will come down for the funeral.

The decedent was about 75 years of age and a well-do-do retired miller and business man. His wife has been dead some years but a family of five daughters and two sons survives. He was well known here, where he had often visited.
