She leaves behind her sons, Kevin L.(Wendy) Farris, Homosassa, FL; Roger D.(Joni) Farris, Carmichael, CA; and Michael B.(Sherilyn) Farris, Gainesville, FL; her daughters, Vickie L. (Leonard) Tolbert, Carrolton, GA and Wendy J.(Albert) Smith, Creedmoor, NC; her brothers, Wayne Abel, Max Abel, David Lynn Abels and Terry Abel; her sisters, Joy Stearns, Kay Pruett, Kathy Cornwell and her fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Lee Farris, her daughter, Jacquelyn R. Erney, her granddaughter, Summer L. Smith, her great grandson, Conner L. Kimbrell and five brothers.
Alice was born October 5, 1932 to the late Preston and Louella(Collins) Abel in Shoals, Indiana. She owned and operated a souvenir business within the tourism industry. Alice attended the First Baptist Church in Dunnellon and she loved spending time with her family and going to the beach. She was a kind soul who never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon. There will be a public viewing on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.
Burial will take place at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, FL.
