Mrs. Amanda Abbott, wife of Dock Abbott, died at the family home at No. One last Thursday night of an illness of only a few minutes, although she had been in ill health for some time. She was a daughter of the late Marion Brown and was born Nov. 21, 1859, joined the Baptist Church in 1871. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Doss and Mrs. Arch Lee and one son, Dock Abbott.
