Pauline Ackerman, 80, Mahnomen, died Tuesday, Nov. 23. 1993, in Mahnomen Nursing Center where she had lived since March.
Pauline Hemberger was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Louise (Brehm) Hemberger. She attended school near Halstad, Minn and later attended nurse's training school in St. Cloud, Minn. She married John W. Ackerman in Hillsboro, N.D. Aug. 26, 1937. The farmed near Reynolds, N.D., and Ogema, Minn before moving the Mahnomen in 1979 John Ackerman died in 1979.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth, West Fargo, N.D., daughters, Jeanette (Mrs. Don) Ellis Kinney Minn., Darlene Leslie, Riverside Calif., and Theresa (Mrs. Andrew) Thielen, Mahnomen; brother, Paul Halstad; sisters, Rosella Ackerman, Grand Forks, Margaret Witte, Lake land Fla., Frances (Mrs. Orville) Anderson, New Richmond, Wis., Mary Schriner, Brookfield, Mo., Loretta Beitz and Edna Kritzberger, both of Hillsboro, 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday in St. Michael's Catholic Church Mahnomen.
Visitation: 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Mattson Funeral Home, Mahnomen.
Burial: St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Mahnomen.
