A native of Erie, Pa., he was born Aug. 1, 1970, the son of Dominick Michael Abate, Hopkinsville, and Connie Ulbrich, Archdale, N.C.
He owned several businesses and served in the Army.
He was a Catholic and a member of the Archery Shooters Association.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Iris Davis; two daughters, Amber Abate, Cadiz, and Jessica Allen, Hopkinsville; two brothers, Michael Vincent Abate, Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and Roman Vedo Abate, Hopkinsville; and his sister, Deanna Michale Abate, Archdale.
