Rites Set Mon. For C. Abeyta
Funeral services for Christobal Eugenio Abeyta, Sr., 36, of Friona, will be held Monday, September 3, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Father Emmanuel Afunugo, officiating.
Burial will be in the Clayton Cemetery, Clayton, New Mexico, at 2:30 p.m. (MDT) under the direction of Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home.
Born September 26, 1947 in Moses, New Mexico, he moved to the Friona area two years ago from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of Vietnam. He died Thursday, August 30, in Parmer County Community Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, of the home; three children, Christobal Abeyta, Jr., Michael Abeyta and Shannon Abeyta, all of Amarillo; three step-children; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Abeyta of Friona; three sisters, Janie Ortiz and Shirley Abeyta, both of Friona, and Polly Sanchez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five brothers, Henry Abeyta of Clovis, New Mexico, Louis Abeyta, Alfonso Abeyta, Mike Abeyta and John Abeyta, all of Friona.
Pallbearers will be N.C. White, Jr., Louis Abeyta, John Abeyta, Alfonso Abeyta, Henry Abeyta and Mike Abeyta.
