Billy L Hatfield, 74 of Gilbert, departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2016 from his residence.
Born January 30, 1942 at Logan, he was the son of the late Elijah & Juanita (Christian) Hatfield.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Hatfield; sister: Shirley Jude; 2 grandchildren: Bruce Gibson Jr. & Edith Delores Gibson.
Billy loved collecting and trading guns, talking on the C.B. with his friends and working on vehicles especially older model cars.
Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Billy and to mourn his passing include his three children: Terria (Bruce) Gibson of Wharncliffe, Billy Hatfield of Gilbert & Crystal (Matthew) Meade of Gilbert; 5 grandchildren: Matalyn Meade, Sophia Meade, Bruce J. Gibson, Daniel Gibson & Matthew Hatfield; 2 sisters: Penny (Terry) Sammons of Gilbert & Jeri (Ronnie) Adkins of Ohio; brother: Ronald (Sherry) Hatfield of Gilbert; a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6-9pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will commence on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diamond Carter, Rev. Lowell Smith and Rev. Denny May officiating.
Burial will follow at Dotson-Toler Cemetery at Wharncliffe. Billy will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
He is gone from our sight but, never from our hearts.
