On February 28, 1928, Lydia married Floyd Emmett Ackerman in Van Hook, North Dakota. After Floyd's passing she resided in Glasgow, Montana until she married Charles O Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas. They moved to Colorado in 1972 and retired to Florida in 1992. After Charles' passing, she returned to Colorado.
