Son of Bernard Aalbers and his wife, the former Gertrude Thieman.

Received his education at St. Francis parochial school.

Married Catherine C. Lugering, 4 October 1905, at St. Francis church.

Worshiped also at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church.

Henry G. Aalbers ran Aalbers market, a grocery at 300 South Fifth in Quincy Illinois, for twenty-two years. In 1947 he retired and gave the grocery to his sons Maurice and Arthur. He remained an active part in decisions.

Henry G. Aalbers belonged to St. Rose of Lima Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus; was member and officer in the St. Andrew branch No. 54 of the Western Catholic Union; belonged to Catholic Order of Foresters; and to the North Side Businessmen's Club.

Mr. Aalbers passed away at his Quincy, Illinois residence. Both parents, and a sister Mrs. Elizabeth Randolph, predeceased him. His widow Catherine Aalbers, two sons, a daughter, a twin brother Ben Aalbers, two sisters and other family survived to mourn his loss.
