James Lindquist, 71, Donnybrook, ND, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at his home. There will be a family gathering Thursday, August 4, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Springan Funeral Home in Stanley. Friends and neighbors may sign a memorial register on Wednesday, August 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare. ND.

James Richard Lindquist was born June 25, 1945 to John and Thena (Bakken) Lindquist. He was raised on the family farm in Mountrail County, rural Coulee, ND. James attended rural country school through tenth grade. He then began farming and ranching with his father. He met Amy Kraft and they were married on June 23, 1972. They raised four daughters, Mellissa, Judi, Serena and Nicole. Jim loved attending auction sales and spending time with his family. He loved his girls.

He is survived by his wife, Amy; daughters: Melissa (Evan) Altholtz, Long Island, NY, Judi (Gary) Anderson, Minot, ND, Serena (Wayne) Laumb, Minot, ND and Nicole Lindquist, Wright, WY; grandchildren: Hunter and Garrett Anderson, Catelyn aand Rylee Laumb and Carter Altholtz; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thena and his sister, Jeanette.
