On Saturday, July 30, 2016 Perry "Chet" Aaron lost his year-long war with multiple cancers that attacked his body. Chet fought every step of the way since learning of his diagnosis. He never lost his true spirit, his humor, his love, and his faith in family. Most of all his love never wavered for Paulette, his wife and the love of his life for 53 years of marriage. He fought hard for her because he never wanted to leave her side. Chet was a humble man that served our country in the Army and went on to live a beautiful happy life with family and friends always close by.
Chet was a man that loved deeply and cherished his family. When the Lord called him home he was surrounded by family, in his own home, exactly as he wanted it. In the days preceding his death his only wish to make sure his family was going to be okay and that they would all stay together.
Chet was preceded in death by his mother Edna Guyot of Connecticut, his nephew Mitchell Brenneis of Connecticut, and his sister Helen Renken also of Connecticut. He is survived by a close and loving family beginning with his beloved wife Paulette, their three son's Scott, Paul, and Perry, their spouses Roxane, Julieann, and Jennifer. He leaves behind a sister Estelle and her spouse Vince of South Carolina. He is also survived by his 8 beautiful grandchildren: Devin (27), Brandon (25), Zachary (24), Blake (21), Taylor (19), Nicholas (12), Katelyn (10), and Jayna (7).
His family believes they have a lost a true hero. He was a hero, not just because he served our country, but because he believed to his core that family matters, that values matter, and that living a good honest, hard-working life matters. He believed in living a good life, teaching his children and grandchildren right from wrong, the value of hard work, and that loving each other are the important steps to creating happiness and living your life.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a service immediately to follow on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Ennis St., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526, (919) 552-4171.
Interment with full military honors will take place at 10:00 am on Friday August 5, 2016 at the Eastern Carolina State VeteransCemetery located at 164 Long Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534 (919) 648-0510. If you wish to drive with the procession it will be leaving from Thomas Funeral home at 8:15 am.
