Johnny William Adkins, 48, of Swoope died Thursday morning, Oct. 8, 1991 in King's Daughters' Hospital. He was born May 19, 1944, a son of Ernest James and Lida Alice Wills Adkins. He had attended the Mountain View Church of Christ and was a truck driver before his illness. Survivors include two sons, Johnny William Jr. and Michael Wayne Adkins, both of Richmond; a sister, Mabel Gill of Staunton; three brothers, Oakie of Staunton, Junior P. of Hallsville, Tex., and Bobby Adkins of Baltimore, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Essie Lee Wiseman. A service was conducted 2 p.m Sunday at Doe Hill Cemetery
