A graveside service for Annie Mae Adams, 67, of Axton, who died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Morehead Hospital in Eden, N.C., will be held at Carver Merial Gardens. She was born in Axton on Aug. 15, 1940, to Charlie Martin and Stella Morrison Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Adams; son, Jerry Adams; a sister, Leona Martin; two brothers, Harold and Gerald Martin.
Surviving are a son, Fletcher Adams Jr.; four daughters, Sandra Adams, Sheila Adams, Carolyn Hairston and Faye Hughes; three sisters, Evelyn Hunter, Oretha Martin and Mary Giles.
