Richard Scott Adams, age 45, of the Big Hill Community, passed away January 22, 2016. He was a High School Graduate of the Dryden Combined School, the class of 1988.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice F. Belcher Adams; Paternal Grandmother, Mary Yeary Adams; Maternal Grandmother, Eva Estelle Kilgore Belcher; His brother, James Vincent Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Carter Adams and Daughter Eva Marie Adams. One brother Keith Adams and wife Brenda of Big Hill. His mother-in-law, Edna Webb of St. Charles, VA. Brother-in-law, Ronnie Carter and wife Melissa of Dryden, VA. Sister-in-law, Laura Kinser and husband Joe of Jonesville, VA
Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Mullins-Sturgill Funeral Home of Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, with John M. Britton officiating.
Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Powell Valley Cemetery, Dryden, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
