BURWELL — Donald D. Ackles, 88, of Burwell died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. The Rev. John Kakkuzhiyil will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of the arrangements.
Don was born Nov. 9, 1927, at home, in Loup County, to Floyd and Mary (Struckman) Ackles.
On March 29, 1952, Don married Grace C. Taylor in Burwell.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; brother, Larry Ackles, of Chambers; two sisters, Shirley Peters of David City and Fay and Dennis Beumont of Broken Bow; and a sister-in-law, Ester Taylor of Burwell.
