Candice Abrams Thibodeaux, age 58, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Born on October 25, 1957 in Baton Rouge, she lived in Baton Rouge and Alexandria, LA with her parents and sisters. After marrying Richard Bradley Thibodeaux on September 2, 1978. She lived in Ville Platte, Jennings, and Shreveport. They were blessed with two wonderful children Adrienne Nicole and Richard Seth.
Candice spent her adult life educating children. She was passionate about making learning fun for her kindergarten students and later counseled children as a school guidance counselor. Prior to retiring from Caddo Parish School Board in 2012, she turned her attention and skills to serving special needs children outside of the classroom. She also worked in Evangeline and Jefferson Davis school systems.
She is survived by her husband, two children and their spouses, Todd Wanek and Lauren Head Thibodeaux, and two grandchildren, Natalie Mae Wanek and Bradley Michael Wanek of Bossier City. Her surviving sisters are Marcia Abrams Cox of Baton Rouge and Doris Abrams Hay of Lake Charles and brother-in-law Rex Reece of Plano, TX.
Preceding Candice in death were her daughter Amy Marie, her parents Morris and Minnie Abrams, and her sister Sue Abrams Reece.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Rose-Neath Funeral Home South on Friday, September 30 from 4-6 with a service following at 6 p.m. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in the Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Cox, Jason McKenzie, Shawn Stoleson, Bobby Deville, and two former principals Albay Hanks and Mike Darbonne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ark-La-Tex Crisis Pregnancy Center, 921 Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, Shreveport, LA 71105.
