      Fruitland — Services for Edward Henry Ablin, 84, Fruitland, who died at his home, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette, by the Rev. Hardy Thompson of the First United Methodist Church of Fruitland. Graveside rites will be by Washoe Lodge No. 28, A. F. and A. M., in Riverside Cemetery.
      He was born Oct. 24, 1890, in Warner, S. D. He grew up there and at the age of 19 moved to Vanguard, Canada, and homesteaded.
      He served in the U. S. Army during World War I and married Clara Huber June 28, 1923, in Havre, Mont. He operated a service station at Wolf Point, Mont., until 1928. He came to Fruitland in 1931 and farmed east of the city. His wife died in Oct. 1973. He was a member of the Loyalty Lodge No. 21. A.F. and A.M., at Wolf Point, and American Legion Post No 107, in New Plymouth.
      Surviving are a son, Dr. Dale H. of Boise; two brothers, Charles D. of Ontario and Louis J. of Aberdeen, S. D.; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Tschetter of Spirit Lake; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
