BANDANA, Ky. - Mrs. Edith Abernathy, 85, Bandana, died at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Paducah.
Services will be at Jones Funeral Home in La Center at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Don Young and the Rev. Frank Queen will officiate. Burial will be in Needmore Cemetery.
Surviving are five sons, Armond Abernathy of Miamisburg, Ohio, Bob Abernathy of Shreveport, La., Bill Abernathy of Jackson, Mich., Bud Abernathy of La Center, and Jere Abernathy of Bandana; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Gower of West Paducah; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. ~~~ THE PADUCAH SUN, Paducah, McCracken County, KY, April 5, 1984
