Uveal Pope Aaron of Satula Avenue, Athens, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was born August 9, 1922 & was the son of the late Upson Pope Aaron & Beulah Bone Aaron. Mr. Aaron worked in the Manufacturing & Construction industry before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew, Chandler & Tom Aaron; sisters, Annie Hardigree, Irene Thomas, Julia Seay, Jeannette Hayes & Alma Sexton; sisters-in-law, Blanche Jennings, Eunice Bell, Geraldine Hammond, Mary Sanders & Nellie Grace Banks; & brother-in-law, Leatius Banks.
Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Banks Aaron & several Nieces & Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1975 Highway 82, Statham, GA 30666. The Rev. Ronnie Healan will officiate & burial will be at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bernstein Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
