Marcellus M. "Sal" Aagesen, 83, died Friday (April 4, 1997) at the Hampton Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Hampton with the Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home. Marcellus M. "Sal" Aagesen was born April 10, 1913, in Coulter.
Survivors include two sons, William Aagesen of Oelwein, and John Aagesen of Boone; one daughter, Linda Stewart of Hampton; one brother, Dr. Walter J. Aagesen of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
