Aaron, Carl M.

Retired Master Sargent Carl M. Aaron, 85, passed away on Thursday October 27 in Marble Falls, Texas where he lived for the past year after living in Austin for forty nine years. He was born June 4, 1931 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Carl went into the Army Airforce, at the age of 16, in 1948. He was part of the transition from the US Army to the US Airforce. While in service he was the driver for General Warden in 1948 for the occupation of Japan. Later he was the driver for General McCarty for Korea. He served in Viet Nam from 1966 to 1967 where he received a Commendation medal for his actions while there. He also received a Commendation medal for his service for being the NCOIC for former President Johnson's aircraft based at Bergstrom AFB, Texas.

His life as a civilian was filled with joy and surprises. He became a 32nd degree Mason and took part in the Shriners Lizzateers group.

Carl was preceded by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Aaron; his parents, James Aaron and Magie May Aaron; his brothers, James and Vernon; his sisters, Ann and Alma.

He is survived by his sons, James Aaron and his wife, Nicki, in Round Mountain, Texas, and Randy Aaron and his wife, Jackie, in Tacoma Washington; Jackie's son, Cody Jones; Randy's son, Bryan, and his wife, Jennifer, of Tacoma, Washington; their two sons, Xaiver and Logan; Rand's daughter, Kelly, of Seattle, Washington; and many nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, Texas. A graveside service with Full Air Force Honors will be held at 1:15 PM Thursday at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, san Antonio, Texas.

The family is requesting that donations be made to the in Houston, www.shrinershospitals.org/donate . Carl would do anything to help a child.
