Rita Abels departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 28 days. She was born in Lake County, Tennessee on December 5, 1960 the daughter of the late Vernon and Mazie Wilkerson Hunt.

Rita had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for most of her life. She was a L.P.N. for 23 years and had most recently been employed with Corrections Corporation of America (C.C.A.) in Clifton, Tennessee. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Rita enjoyed shopping, Alabama football, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Aday and husband, William of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Tracey Williams and husband, Matthew of Savannah, Tennessee, and Kelly Woods and husband, Cass of Waterloo, Alabama; grandchildren, Dolyn Williams, Owen Williams, Madison Aday, and Will Aday; sisters, Mary Morgan of Maryland, Patricia Shepherd of Waynesboro, Virginia, Shelia Webb of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Donna Parrish of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Tommy Hunt of Adamsville, Tennessee and James Hunt of Crump, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hunt.
