Bar Harbor – Edwin I. Proctor, 76, of Dover, N. H., died here this morning at the home of his son, Tyler Proctor, on Ledgelawn avenue. Mr. Proctor, who only recently retired from business in Dover, had been visiting his son here for the last four days. He was born in Dover, N. H., May 18, 1871, the son of the late Everett and Clara (Leighton) Proctor. He was educated in the public schools at Dover and was by trade a shoemaker. He was a member of the I. O. O. F.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Snodgrass of Kittery; a son, E. Tyler Proctor of Bar Harbor; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place Friday at the Pine Hill cemetery chapel in Dover.
