"In the early morning hours of December 26th, 2016, Sandra Camp Keeter, 69, burst into heaven to be with her heavenly Father, her beloved husband H.S. Keeter and many other loved ones.
She was born December 27, 1946. She was the daughter of the late George Thomas Camp and Lula Mayhew Camp. She was the mother of daughters Sonya Aaron of Shelby, NC and Missy Darnell and Scott of Paducah, KY. She was the best Nana in the world to granddaughter Madison Darnell.
Sandra was a lifelong native of Cleveland County, NC. Although she never moved from home, she had an adventurous spirit. She had a love of travel and seeing new things. If anyone ever needed a companion on a trip or just to go to the store all you had to do is ask and she would say “Let me get my pocketbook”.
Sandra loved the Lord with all her heart. Many of her travels were to help spread the word of Christ. Sandra believed it was our responsibility to serve the Lord and others.
Over the years, Sandra served with many boards and organizations where she has been honored and awarded by many for her service.
Throughout this journey on Earth, Sandra used her faith in the lord as her compass. Her last testament and advice “In every decision in life, look to God’s word for the right answers.”
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Dr. Rit Varriale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Christian Life Center with a reception and celebration of her life.
Memorials may be made to: Elizabeth Baptist Church, 301 North Post Road, Shelby, NC 28152 or H.S. and Sandra Keeter Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 997, Boiling Springs, NC 28017."
