Marcella Gail Lester, 67 of Baisden, departed this life Monday, December 19, 2016 from Logan Regional Medical Center. Born on June 15, 1949 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Arminta Rachel Bartram Lester. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers: Larry Gene, David James and Timmy Lester. Marcella was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden. She loved going to church and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching races and going to the beach. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Marcella and to mourn her passing are her sisters: Tina (Eugene) Goodman and Jamie Lester of Baisden, Deborah (Kibby) Lewis of Clay County, and Eleanor (Junior) Salmons of Greenville; her brothers: Jerry Lester of Ballard, Leon Lester of Baisden and Terry (Debbie) Lester of Peterstown. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family Thursday, December 22, 2016 after 6 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, where funeral services will commence Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Sherman Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden. Marcella will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends. Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
