Injuries Are Fatal
To Coalmont Man
Injuries suffered when he fell at his Coalmont home proved fatal to Robert S. Hess at 1:07 o'clock this morning, May 20, 1948.
He died in J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital at the age of 58.
Hess was admitted to the hospital at 10:30 Wednesday morning.
He suffered a fractured skull when he fell at his home earlier in the morning.
His doctor reported today that his death was a result of the injuries received in the fall.
He was employed as a coalminer.
Born in Coalmont May 15, 1890, he was the son of Silas and Elizabeth (Cohick) Hess.
He married Mary L. Dick on Nov. 4, 1911.
His wife is surviving as well as a brother and two sisters: Harry Hess of Coalmont and
Mrs. William Hoffman and Mrs. Jesse Houp, both of Saxton.
The funeral service will be held at the Hess home Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The Rev. Ammon Sipple will officiate.
Burial will be in the Stonerstown Cemetery, Saxton R.D.
Friends may call at the late home.
