John William (Jay) Abercrombie, 53, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his partner and best friend, Mike Farmer; parents, Jack Abercrombie, Louise Abercrombie and his brother, Terry Abercrombie.
Jay is survived by his sisters, Judy Branscome, Louanne (Wayne) Semones, Becky (Richard) Haley, Wendy (Walter) Falls; brother, Dan (Ann) Ambercrombie and his Valley Metro family.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jay to the Roanoke Rescue Mission. Online condolences may be expressed to www.oakeys.com.
